Thanks David. Now I'm getting an error message "I:\System Volume Information did not have its cluster tips erased because of the following error: Access to the path 'I:\System Volume Information' is denied." I'm running as an administrator in Windows Vista Ultimate. Suggestions appreciated!

I have an external hard disk that I want to completely wipe. I have formatted it, so at one level, there are already no files on it. How do I use Eraser to completely wipe it? Thanks.
