You'd better close all running programs before you start uninstalling Eraser. You can also try uninstall it under Safe Mode or just use a cleaner tool to ensure a full uninstall.
A computer savvy is able to recover the deleted files even if you have emptied the recycle bin. If you are not going to give your computer to someone else, the data would be disappeared for good.
