Eraser eats up all available RAM on Win7 x64

Hey Joel, Just checking in; any update on DavidHB and whether he was one of your creations or a site-fanboy or even someone paid by you to come here and spout pro-Erasure bull$h1t. Posted 2,000+ positive Eraser fanboy posts in 32 months and then disappeared off of the face of the planet when...

Eraser eats up all available RAM on Win7 x64

Hey Joel, Just wondered if you had an update on DavidHB and whether he was one of your creations or a site-fanboy or even someone paid by you to come here and spout pro-Erasure bull$h1t. Your product is good, you don't need his sort infecting us. Well?

Eraser eats up all available RAM on Win7 x64

Joel? The silence would indicate he was a plant. Shame on you, your product is top notch, no need for forum plants. Please don't try such Mickey Mouse stunts again; you'll always get found out and all it does is damage the product. And Eraser is an excellent product; stop tarnishing it with...

Eraser eats up all available RAM on Win7 x64

Happy to if you can confirm that DavidHB was a fanboy plant? I really don't see the need for such shenanigans but what would I know? Joel, your call?

Eraser eats up all available RAM on Win7 x64

Yeah but seeing as the product hasn't evolved one wonders why DavidHB has disappeared off the face of the earth? Maybe he found himself a boyfriend? I don't know, just spitballing.

Eraser eats up all available RAM on Win7 x64

He's now not been active for three years despite having over 2,000 posts to his name. So definitely a plant or he dropped dead (God forbid). Come on Joel, 'fess up.......there's no shame in it, all forums have plants who big up the product?

    Bad Captcha Processing

Ditto; I had three very simple Captcha's and each one failed. Very disappointing that the developers have jumped into bed with Captcha; they're spawn from the devil's own seed. Maybe there's a kickback for using the "technology"?

Eraser eats up all available RAM on Win7 x64

Doesn't look like the stooge has been here since just after my previous post. Joel? Was he a plant? If so, why? The product is, by and large, excellent. You don't need to artificially inflate things by using a plant. What's going on?

Eraser eats up all available RAM on Win7 x64

No need for apologies although you might want to have a private word with DavidHB. He's very quick to jump on the "I love Eraser and it can do no wrong" bandwagon.........he's probably got enough egg on his face right now to conjure up an omelette for an entire nation. Facts will always win...

Eraser eats up all available RAM on Win7 x64

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7540 I reported a similar problem a year ago, I seem to recall the response was along the lines "oh it's not Eraser it's some random third party bit of software" :? Soooo......is it Eraser or not? Incidentally, if you follow that thread you'll see that installing a new...

    Server Migration

"We'll be back shortly" error message when attempting to access http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/ Something going down in the hood?

    High memory consumption

Re: A couple of Eraser problems! Well, I've installed the beta 6.1 version from 4th January, Eraser is sitting nicely at 22324kb and my pc isn't sounding like a US aircraft firing up. Same .NET installation. So something in the code changes between versions has fixed the bug. :D

did not have its cluster tips erased, because it is a system

Re: did not have its cluster tips erased, because it is a sy I had similar when I was using Eraser - except the list of files Eraser couldn't service was quite a long one?

    High memory consumption

Re: A couple of Eraser problems! No need to get anything straight, I am aware of the great committment shown by people like Joel who selflessly devote great chunks of their personal time to creating a product for free. If my post suggested otherwise then, of course, I am deeply apologetic...

No free of speech in this forum

I have Win 7 64 bit and *was* using the latest version of eraser (the one released in November). I had to uninstall it for reasons mentioned in another post - memory leeching. And it was happening on this system and my laptop downstairs so I would have to concur - Win 7 64 bit and Eraser are...

    High memory consumption

Re: A couple of Eraser problems! Thanks for the reply. Alas, there's an embarrassing silence from up on high so I'm afraid Eraser stays uninstalled as it's clearly been found with its fingers in the proverbial cookie jar. 317k indeed.......what does Eraser think it is, a Microsoft product...

Firstly, just tried to log in to this site and got a "you have exceeded the maximum number of logins allowed" error and I had to then go through a picture validation sequence. Um, nope, this is the first time I've tried to log in here since the last time I was here. Secondly, I'm running...

    Obscure error message?

I wasn't trying to do anything with Eraser, this occured during my system boot up. Has ever an error message contained so many words and meant so little? http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/2846/24608717.jpg
