A Few Questions

I used DBAN to erase my harddrive. The first attempt failed when a plug got pulled out after only 2 hrs. I then reinstalled Windows XP, and then started DBAN again (I suppose I could have used DBAN again without reinstalling XP) My second attempt at the wipe went fine. I was just wondering if it mattered that it got interrupted the 1st time?
When DBAN finished the 2nd time it said that it had been a success, but the log file couldent b written to the disk because it was full. I was wondering if I actually needed the log file? Where it says statistics when DBAN was running no errors were reported and it said it was a success after it had finished, so is there any need for me to have seen the log file?
