darik's boot and nuke

hi,need some help please.I dowloaded "darik's boot and nuke.ok.when it tries
to load get 2 messages.first "edit syslinux.cfg file on floppy disk to
change default behavior of diban.second "kernal panic VFS:unable to mount
root fs on 01:00.can you assist me please.thanks
