Difficult to upgrade to 6.0.8 and still doesn't work

I am using Windows 7 64 bit OS. Version 6.0.6 kept giving me completed with errors for anything I tried to erase. Decided to upgrade. Would not let me do it as it said I had newer version 6.7.?? I uninstalled 6.0.6 and wacked all of the eraser related keys in the registry and was then able to finally install 6.0.8. Still get same errors. Erase used to be a cool product. Now it is just pure trash.
