Erase unused disk space on a network drive

I have a Maxtor external usb drive mounted to my home network using a Linksys NSLU2 network storage link. I have deleted all the files on it and want to erase the unused disk space before using truecrypt. Windows XP is my operating system, and I was backing it up to the Maxtor using retrospect before this. Anyway, when I run eraser, the network drive does not show up in the unused drive list even when I mount it through windows explorer. What can I do?

I think you can't do anything about it except plugging it back to the computer. I don't think It is possible to enumerate the network drives (not offhand), but this may be possible in future versions. I'll bug this later today so that I'll look at it in greater depth in a while.
