Erasing Unused Space Question

Hey guys, I was going to use the option in the eraser software to erase unused space but before I do I just want to confirm what the software means by unused space. Does it mean space that is currently unallocated or does it just mean programs/files that haven't been used in a certain amont of time?

I was also wondering is there any chance that this option could effect any of the current files on my hdd?

Thanks.

Hi 182

Yes it does mean space that is currently unallocated.

No, the wiping of free space should not damage any system or personal files.

Make sure you are using Eraser 5.86 or later.
