mcafee file shredder for eraser 5.7

I notice in mcafee file shredder you can custom erase up to 99 passes. Does that mean that process is better then useing a 35 pass erase that eraser lets you do? Are you getting any more protection or erasing quality with mcafee? Thanks for your comments
 
On modern drives 99 is excessive.

All you will achieve there is time wasting. Stick with eraser.

If you are worried about the number of overwriting passes, I believe Eraser allows you to overwrite data using up to 65535 passes. :lol:
