"Recycle Bin is empty"

Even though there are files in the Recycle Bin (I can see and access them using the "explore" option), when I right click and select "Erase Recycle Bin" in the context menu I get an "Eraser Launcher" dialogue box saying "Recycle Bin is empty". Opening the Recyle Bin and right clicking on the individual files (or selecting them all and right clicking) doesn't give an erase option in the context menu.

I am using XP with SP2.

If anyone can suggest a solution or elt me know what I'm doing wrong, I'd be grateful.

Recycle Bin is empty

I have been looking for an answer to the same question.

Using WinXP SP2 and Version 2004 Norton Protected Recycle Bin.

There is a workaround, I think. Open Eraser, select File>New task, check "Files on folder", navigate to My Computer>Local disk(C)>RECYCLER select OK and then right click the new task and select "Run".
