XP Pro SP3 .Net 3.5 Eraser Beta 4

I tried to Erase a file I knew was already opened by another application. Just for testing purposes.

Eraser just got stuck, the icon was flashing but nothing happened. Will users expect to see an error message explaining why Eraser hadn’t erased the file ?

Also I was unable to cancel the task, Eraser appeared to have frozen.

I exited Eraser and then opened it again where I was able to remove the task.

I can't replicate this problem. I tried locking an Access database and erased it; the task completed showing correctly that the file was in use.

I tried erasing a directory of symbol files which were locked; Eraser behaved correctly.
