Use of tool tips in the task editing dialog

Description

A change has already been implemented in version 6.1, to replace the file paths (almost always truncated) of the items to be deleted in the task editing dialog with the file names only. This has greatly improved readability, but users have no access to the file path from the dialog. In the dialog, tool tips should therefore be used to show the full path of individual file and folder entries.

It is suggested that this proposed improvement be implemented in version 6.2; accordingly the baseline used for comparison is the current (at the time of writing) 6.1 build (6.1.0.2258).

Thanks for the idea. I'll see how best to implement it.

A proposed change has been committed to r2274: this heuristically changes the full paths to file/directory names in the Task Properties Dialog. All other names (including Task-generated names) will retain the full path. What do you think?

For me, inability to see all items & full paths of a task list - at once - & no way to copy/ print, or export or some print function, is one of the biggest annoyances about the task edit UI.

Having "tool tips" where full path is displayed on mouse over is better than nothing. But, when more than 3 - 4 files are in a task, it's impossible to compare the task list to say, another desired list of files (on paper or another app screen -say Explorer, etc.)

Being able to read full paths of ALL files / folders in a task, at a glance is far more preferable & faster than mousing over one line at a time.  It would also reduce errors of having wrong files / paths in a task.

Being able to enlarge the task screen enough so all paths in the task (except perhaps, unusually long strings) can be read at once would speed up the process of (1) verifying files in the task, (2) quickly finding / editing items in the task list.

Having '''a way to print''' the task list would be very useful at times.  Now, there's no way to print out the entire task list w/ full paths.  You can take a screen shot of a small task list, but doesn't show full paths. Most apps that allow creation of, or compile similar lists provide a way to either print the lists / report directly or export a file, then print.  Most allow viewing full path whether viewing, copying or printing lists.
