Description
I am using version 5.86, windows 2000, affected disk is SATA, 250GB, NTFS.
The last two times I have used the first-last 2k feature it has messed up my partition table. The funny thing is, I've been using it previously for maybe a year without any problems. Here are the steps to reproduce:
- In uTorrent 1.8, right click on downloaded file and select "delete torrent + data".
- Right click on trash and select "Erase recycle bin (1-pass first-last 2k).
- The downloaded file fails to erase.
- Reboot windows, if you have the /sos switch on, it will say the disk format is RAW (supposed to be NTFS).
I think it has something to do with uTorrent 1.8. Luckily, this is not my boot disk, so both times I have been able to restore my partition using testdisk (cgsecurity.org), which found it using the "deeper search".
I will also ask about this on the uTorrent forums.

I think it is a race issue which uTorrent has with Eraser. I'm not sure how it can happen, but unless it can happen again I don't think it's possible we can investigate. This is because we don't have any data to work with, sorry.
Feel free to reopen the ticket if you see any more issues.
