It worked with .2979. I still like to extract it first as I don't need .net framework.

I forgot to add I'm on Win 10 home 64-Bit.

When I run(as admin) the eraser setup, it says can't extract the .net framework "access denied". As a work around I extracted the setup package with winrar and ran my appropriate setup(x64). Just thought I let you know about this issue.
