The easiest would be to erase files using the Explorer context menu. Have you tried that?

Erasing Windows Disk Cache In Eraser v6xx

The proper way to enable it: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libr ... 10%29.aspx. If you have a corporate Windows edition (Pro and above), you can use the Local Policy editor. Otherwise, you'll have to change the equivalent registry setting yourself.

How to delete files and folder older than 8 days

Nope, but you can just find all the files you want, select them all, and drag/drop them into Eraser's window.

removing last access, last change data

I've looked at the 6.2 FAT erasure code and I don't see the constant 0x21 being used. Which version did you try this out on?

How could Eraser be a better anti forensic tool ?

These usually mean that you've got thumbnail caches somewhere that's not deleted. Programs like stowing away thumbnail copies. There are common culprits, but getting rid of all of them will only get more and more difficult. Like I've said in another thread, this is a Windows system function, and...

How could Eraser be a better anti forensic tool ?

Not true: your computer has caches containing what programs were run, even if not installed. And you can't erase that. Unless someone implements raw registry reading/writing to the hive files.

removing last access, last change data

AFAIK, no, short of rewriting all the directory structures. I think Garrett is right (thought I can't remember specifics) but I do recall there was some marker indicating that a FAT entry is deleted. I'm not sure if it's 0x21, but it could well be. At the same time, I don't recall leaving it as...

Erase fragments/useless data on c: drive

Not at the moment. Eraser will only get rid of data marked as deleted, which your cache, temporary files etc are not. For the external drive, yes that's possible. If you're using 6.0, just quick format the drive and run an unused space erase. That should be sufficient.

    Erasing USB key Drives

To the best of my knowledge, USB drives have not changed in the way they work, since the post in 2007. SSDs however, work differently, and they specifically have systems to defeat the way Eraser works (as their design, I'm sure not by deliberate intent)

Do scheduled tasks deleted from UI get erased

Nothing in Eraser is deleted. Except when the erase is complete (because, well, there's no other way...) It's not possible to prompt for an erase confirmation due to Eraser's asynchronous behaviour. It's quite strange to send Eraser to the tray, wait for 3 hours for an erase to complete, and...

How to delete files and folder older than 8 days

Why specifically 8 days? All files and folders older than 8 days? If that's your question, unfortunately, no. You'll need to find a way to come up with a file list and then import that into Eraser.

Did you run Windows Update on your Windows XP machine? It needs the latest Windows Root Certificates update.

    HELP! URGENT!

Unfortunately, if he used it correctly, it should not be possible. After all, that's the point of Eraser. I hope you have a backup somewhere, or that your colleague used Eraser wrongly.

Yes, Eraser does that. You should be able to verify the fact after running it.

Erasing Windows Disk Cache In Eraser v6xx

That feature messes with Windows when used together with a networked (AD/group policy) environment. That's a Windows system policy. I've deliberately not implemented it because it's in reality a Windows system configuration. That one build might have it, but for the record I'm really intending...

Why is Gutman 35 pass the default in Eraser

Default is left as Gutmann just for paranoia's sake. But that level of paranoia isn't exactly necessary nowadays. But I'm still keeping it.
