Hi
I am getting some scary looking error messages on the Eraser Trac pages.
It has been like that for a few weeks now, any chance you could have a look at that Joel ?
I do seem to remember this was a problem on more than one occasion. Users having trouble when cluster tips was selected with no page file. I wonder if you have more RAM Joel and that’s why it works ok for you ?
Wow, that’s crazy !! A legal department move computers with clients private data on, or at least “had” clients private data on around departments !!!!
You need to explain to your superiors that this is just bad practice.
If this is a commercial request you could adopt commercial software for...
Hi carlson
Can you provide some information please ?
What OS are you using ?
Which version of Eraser ?
Is it your C drive or an external drive ?
Flash drive or magnetic ?
Installed Eraser or portable ?
Thanks.

Eraser does both and with ISAAC, hopefully soon to be with ISAAC+ in V6.

Just a thought why don’t you enable your page file, wipe your free space including cluster tips then disable your page file ? I...
If that is the case then I suggest you format the drive and test.
Could you format the drive, copy any file to it (perhaps the exact one you deleted would be best) and then try to overwrite it again please ?
I would be very interested to hear what happens as we need to make certain this is not...
If there is some way to get my drive back up and running, i could try it again on the same one.
Well the quickest way would be to reformat it but then you would loose the old data.
There are some recovery programs that would help recover anything you really needed from a formatted or corrupt...
Hi fraant
I hope you are still checking back here occasionally !
Joel and Garrett seem to have both taken a break from Eraser at the same time so you unfortunately only have me here for now !
I just don’t want you to loose interest in Eraser, have you looked at the C++ code Joel has...
