Try these steps Shutdown all unessary services - AV etc Empty your recyclebin Run a freespace erase Now try recovering the files, if a file is still recovered is it intact? Do you have any third party data protection software running? shadow copies or RAID? What happens if you erase a single file?

We have released a newer version, not sure if this will make much of a difference.

This is always caused by access to the disk being denied. Can you run a disk health check? Also try shutting down as many services as possible before running the freespace erase. Apart from AV software - databases like mysql can cause this issue

Can you download this test version here Uninstall the current version first and then install this. The version numbers are the same for now. Let me know if it fixes your issue.

you cannot wipe the drive you are logged into best option would be to reinstall windows and then do a freespace erase

extract the MSI file for the desired architecture X86 or x64 and try that its a standard MSI file
