Hi :)
Thank you for your extraordinarily verbose post !
Can I just ask what OS you are using please and also 32 – 64 bit ?
Are you sure you installed the latest Eraser 5.6 ?
I am using Eraser 5.6 on XP Pro 32bit with absolutely no problems. I have also been beta testing over...
Hi :)
I am guessing that you only have one hard drive installed and you are using some sort of recovery software. C and physical drive 0 are the same drive. The other files you see may be in the host protected area (which are files you want to keep).
CCleaner is probably more suited to...
Hi andreasm1982 :)
I am really pleased you posted here as I was beginning to think I was the only one unable to download 5.6 !!
I have tried the following servers with no luck in downloading 5.6.

Hi Joel.
Thank you for the information. I like the “No bugs.... yet.” Oh the joys of software development !

Thanks again Joel, good work !
Thanks Joel ! :D

Is there a change log for 5.6 final compared to RC2 ?
Are there any known...

Hi Robbie,
Thank you for the information, my point in my previous post was to make it clear to others that the problem is not OS related but hardware as in drivers related.
I understand the driver substitution as Eraser came up against a similar problem when trying to erase free space when...
The version I linked to is a release candidate and as such doesn’t have a help file.
I just thought it better that you had a version that you could load and play with rather than nothing.
It is a fully functioning version in all other respects so I suggest you simply play around with it...
Hi Robbie :)
I would think it is more a case of what hardware you are running rather than what operating system you have loaded. DBAN shouldn’t care what OS you have installed.
Could this not be explained by the size and speed difference of your hard drives ?
GUI = Graphical User Interface.
It is just that you said you “typed” Gutmann.
Are you certain that your disk isn’t damaged in any way ? Do you have another hard drive you could test with using the same main board ?
