This is possible when eraser is filling up the empty disk space - however it has never been reported until now. The cause is eraser accidentally generating the correct signature of a virus while it fills the disk space with random data. Garrett

This is a windows installer issue. Please install the previous full release and not the beta and then let us know what happens. The 'official' release from the eraser homepage uses a 100% MSI installer, I am curious if you get the same problem. Garrett
