    yes that did it. Another question: I notice that after erasing free space my defrag program went very active - it is still working - why ? did it loose track of the files and began grouping again or is it attempting to group ramdom overwriting data?

    I doubt system restore auto cleaned Because i already had done that when I found out about those extra 50 GB (as previously o this thread) Yes, it had crossed my mind, those autostart entries could be to erase after start due to locking - but it could also be some kind of malware reviving...

    I recently discovered Eraser. This question came to me - is there danger of more drive degradation by allways erasing files with eraser? Will eraser represent less time of drive existence than using normal windows deletion procedure? Regards
