When I try to erase a 'Txt' file using V5.86a, or V5.85, under Windows XP Pro with SP3, I get a message stating the file is locked by another process, and would I like to finish the erase on the next boot. If I rename the file to 'jpg' or 'exe' it erases just fine. I checked on another system...
