    Risks??

Stop your crying . . . Yeah, well, I haven't had that prob. But when has M$ EVER taken responsibility for ANY of its junk f**king up a system (which it does VERY regularly) - you ever read their EULA? Virtually every piece of software disclaims liability in its EULA, usually providing only...

    Eraser Software

Mixed up person . . . They're probably mixed up with a company's product - like East-tec. Same name, but commercial product. For my $.02, this OSS product is better and the price is right. :D If you ordered their product, you should get yourself a refund and use this product instead. 8)

    Risks??

Not quite true . . . Yes, while Eraser will only delete the space used by previously deleted files, there is one important set of files that will get removed/erased when you do a free space wipe. Specifically, Eraser works by creating one or more files to fill up all free disk space and then...

IMPORTANT: ALL ERASER USERS - NEW VERSION PLANNED

Preserving restore points To expand on my earlier post on how Eraser might do a freespace wipe without Windoze XP deleting the restore points, where I stated: The following registry trick might perform the same function. Specifically, it tells windoze to not perform a low disk space check...

Features . . . I'm having some problems posting a reply here . . . always says "document contains no data" and refuses to let me prereview or submit my reply. I've found that I have to split my response in order to submit it. More will follow There are wipe utilities that have this as an...

True Random Number Generation for "random" pattern

next version heh. Well, I'm glad to see that there's hope for a future update. It seems like a long time since the last one. . . I put this out there mainly because I saw on open flame war in an earlier post on just this subject and because I found two sites that gave code to obtain true...

True Random Number Generation for "random" pattern

I know this will probably erupt into some kind of crypto flame war  over true cryptographically secure PRNG for wiping purposes, but I suggest that the next version (if ever there will be one) include a client that polls either http://www.random.org or http://www.lavarnd.org for a TRUE...
