ALL my text documents empty after erasing unused disk space

Hi there

I recently performed an entire hard disk erase of all unused disk space on C:

After completion, I opened a text document I had saved on my desktop but it was empty.
The same applies for all my text documents (notepad).

Any ideas?

Something must have been wrong with the file system. Try running a disk check (which will be run on reboot) on the drive.
