Booting Computer on CD

When I turn the computer on it asks if I want to boot from the CD? Nothing I do on the key board can answer that question.
 
I doubt that this has anything to do with Eraser. What makes you think that it would?

I guess I need to backup. Do I run this program from boot up or once the computer has opened windows? I assumed or confused it with other software that I had to boot the computer with this program.
 
Eraser is meant to run under Windows, and is installed in the normal way. Have you confused it with DBAN (for which there is a also a forum here)? That does run from a bootable CD, but essentially erases the whole computer, or at the very least a whole drive.
