Cannot install completely

I downloaded Eraser 6.0.8.2273.exe and try to run; it gets hung up on Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1Setup; it downloads the 3.5SP1 file and then says you can now disconnect from the internet and then just hangs there. I disconnect from the internet and still nothing happens. I cancel and try to reinstall, same exact thing. PLEASE HELP!!! I have Windows XP Service Pack 3 on my laptop. Thank you!
 
As you will have guessed, this is an issue with the .NET installation. I suggest that you separately download a .NET 3.5 install file from the Microsoft site (you can search for this). If there is an uninstall entry for .NET 3.5, I suggest uninstalling before installing from the downloaded file. Once you have installed .NET, the Eraser install should work (it will detect that .NET is already installed).
