Can't find NTLDR

I used the Nuke (DBAN) program to wipe my hard drive for a clean install of XP on a Sony computer. I am now getting a "can't find NTLDR" error message. Unfortunately, Sony ships with only with a system restore and application restore disk, no Windows XP disk only.
Please respond with simple instructions, as I'm not real comfortable with DOS or messing much with the registry.

Try booting to one of the CD-ROM OEM restore disks and install Windows AND all your drivers. Maybe the other programs that came with your PC will be offered to. There should be options to do so, call tech support...
