Eraser will work on a NAS for individual files however to 100% guarantee erasure you would need to wipe each disk.
 
But this is not recommended. You'll saturate the network line and your admin won't be too pleased. Also there's no guarantee that the erase will work properly because there may be modification of the way data is handled by the CIFS driver
