"completed with errors" comment

The many times when I run Eraser, I get the comment, "completed with errors".

The comment,"completed with errors" is a completely ambiguous and useless. First, there is no indication as to what are the "errors" they are referring to, and far more egregious, the file that was to be erased is still intact as if nothing happened.

What is going on here? Is the application broken?

Errors can occur for a variety of reasons. The message means Eraser was unable to complete its task e.g the file was in use or blocked e.g by security settings or a AV scanner.

Then you need to check out the task log (right click the task) and see what it says there.
