DBAN and Network Interfaces/Security

Hi, I was wondering how secure my computer will be while wiping disks with DBAN as I have left my network connection plugged in whilst DBAN is running.

Does DBAN actually bring network interfaces up?

Ahh ok, it’s just that the DBAN forum here was abandoned some time ago. :)
