Found that the earlier version of DBAN 1.07 has issues on the Dual Cores in performance. A 80 GB Drive with 1.07 states the wipe will take some 70 plus hours.
Switched to the Beta version above and the drive is wiped in about two hours. Kinda funny how a version built for Core 2 DUO with an Intel 945 chipset runs great on a Dual Core AMD machine. DC 5750 is the model on the machine... :lol:
