Got the following error screen after just a few seconds:

dbanerror9db.jpg

I'm running dban on an old Compaq Deskpro EP (PII/350MHz)
The disk is a WD33200 as primary master
Video card is an ATI 3D Rage Pro

Thanx in advance for any help!

Hmmm. Get the memory diagnostic from http://www.memtest86.com/ and run it on that computer. If it reports any bad addresses, then DBAN cannot run properly.

This kernel panic can be caused by a driver incompatibility, but the wipe had already started.

Problem solved!

I used the mem chips from another pc, and it worked just fine!
thanx for helping me out!
