Does the hidden desktop.ini files pose a security risk? I mean can they contain information about files? I only recentley descovered thumbs.db!! which also contains information about files!! Thx

I don't think so, but if in doubt (when using XP) rename this User Account to something new, make a new User Account (naming it the same as your old one,) delete the old User Account you are paranoid about, wipe your free space with Eraser again then all will be fine!! (You have a new User Account with all new stuff, cool 'eh?) Make sure you copy all backup files before you do so to a safe place.
