Do you have to clear your harddrive?

In order to run this program are you required to clear your hard drive or can this work with your operating system as it is? I have seen many other programs that wipe your hard drive when you get them to make your files unrecoverable and I wanted to make sure this program wasn't the same.

Yes!

Eraser (any version) can erase individual files or folders, the Recycle Bin (with limitations imposed by the OS in Vista and Windows 7) or free space on a drive, leaving the files untouched; I have been using it to do these things for years now. All of this is explained in the Help document, which is worth reading before you use what is a pretty powerful application.
