I've tried downloading Eraser but it doesn't work. The Eraser icon appears on the desktop, but when I open it schedule page is empty, the settings page is also empty. I've tried two different versions, neither works.
You almost certainly need the latest Windows root certificates; they ought to have been installed by Windows Update, but this sometimes does not happen (or users prevent it happening). In that event, the Eraser plugins, which need to be validated for security using the certificates, will not work because they are not validated.
The certificates can be downloaded from here. More info. is available via the FAQ topic on Common Eraser Problems.
