Duration of Gutman process.

I started the software to erase my hardisk, in Gutman, and I had my computer on a entire day and still the program wasn`t done. How long does it takes??

Are you sure you need to make so many passes ? I believe a single pseudorandom pass will give you very good security. If you are really paranoid you could run a single pass twice.
