Dear friends,

please say to me, will Eraser 5.7 with the Servicepack 2 of Windows XP Professional works.

It should work with Windows XP SP2. I have no problems with it.
 
A right click (contextual menu) blocks Explorer

Hi,

After installing Eraser 5.7 - that works properly in addition - a mouse right click blocks Explorer. Solution : disable Eraser in the contextual menu with ShellExView or uninstall Eraser then the right click is enabled again.

Do you have any better solution? It seems to be a bug of Eraser with XP SP2.

I suggest you re-install Eraser and turn off Entropy Polling.

How to turn off Entropy Polling:
1. Click on Edit
2. Select Preferences->General
3. Untick the field 'Enbable background (slow)entropy polling'

It's not really required as Eraser already uses DOD standard patterns.
It was added at an earlier stage for random number generation.
