This is a question based on what I was told of RAID 5, I myself have not been able to confirm this yet but was hoping someone may already have knowledge of this. My knowledge in the area of server hardware/ software is slowly growing so I may have some mistakes in assumptions of how these systems actually work.
Basically the belief is that with a RAID 5 system you would need to have all of the drives to reconstruct any data. Also you would need to have the allocation properties of this system to overwrite anything which as I was told is impossible. I guess the question here will be, Will this Eraser be useful on a RAID 5 system since the system does not give out the areas where data is stored? Thanks for the help
