Here are where the files land on Vista x64:

Code: 
Eraserl.exe -> C:\Windows\System32
Eraser.dll  -> C:\Windows\System32
Eraser.exe  -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Eraser
Verify.exe  -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Eraser
Erasext.dll -> C:\Windows\System32

The MSVC++ 2005 (x64) Redist. was properly deployed.

So all files went right except the eraser.exe and verify.exe? Sorry I don't use x64 and don't have much idea how Windows does its thing...

Yes it is 5.85 beta 6.
I will run a chekdisk soon posible and see what happens.

Wasn't the recycle bin error fixed already? What is the error message for failing?
 
Check 5.86 RC 1 to see if your 64 bit thing has been fixed as well as the recycle bin issue.
