I am giving my old PC with XP service pack 3 to a friend. I have downloaded Eraser 6.0.8.2273 and installed it twice!
When booting up a message appears under an Eraser heading:
Invalid values
Default file eraser method
Default unused space
Randomness data source.
These settings have now been set to naive defaults.
Open Eraser Settings and the default fields are all blanks with no obvious method of completeing them.
Open Explorer right click on a file, select Eraser: erase and a bubble opens
Task executed ………….did not complete.
My friend wants the PC urgently, can you help?
