Eraser leaving randomly named folder remnants

I've recently noticed that eraser is leaving empty folders with variable length random character names. Sometimes erasing these has led to another folder with another random name popping up in the same directory, and this cycle has repeated up to 3 times before eventually disappearing.

Running Eraser 5.7 on WinXP SP2. Haven't noticed yet if it happens on both NTFS and FAT32 drives - I have both in my setup.

Is this a known issue? Tried searching and couldn't find anything, but probably difficult to chose good search string.
