i think it is a bug but when I download something to my flash drive and I start eraser to delete the files, I selected 7 passes and it is not showing in the flashdrive file. I run recuva and It shows my file and it is recoverable. Bug or what? I have not had any problem lately.
Read this thread to understand that erasing a single file on a flash drive might not be a good solution, as flash drives work differently from HDDs.
if you want to be sure, u will need to delete the file, then use eraser to overwrite all "unused space".
it might be better if you make an encrypted contained on the flash drive and use that to store sensitive files.
