Eraser opens then quits

I posted this a few days ago but I can't see it anywhere. In fact I have posted this query 2/3 times a year for a while.

Eraser opens then quits. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times to no avail.

I'm running Windows 10 PRO
 
I'm having a similar problem. I had it when running Win 10 Pro and it continues after I updated to Win 11 Pro Insider preview. I start the erasure process, it progresses for approx 30 secs then it crashes. I'm running build 22523.1000. What else do you need to know?

This seems like it encounters a locked file - can you read the windows event log for the crash and report what is said
 
Open Event Viewer, set the filters to take I get a warning I have a lot of parameters selected and OK it. (attached as System.txt) Then I try and open Eraser - OK the warning then save the log file - which is a 0 Byte size file that says something about the transport layer - but can't be exported (probably because it's 0Bytes)
