I downloaded Eraser 6.0.10.2620 onto a USB drive. When I attempt to erase a Windows Xp HDD on a Compaq Presario 2100 it constantly wants to install .net framework on the c: drive of the computer. Will eraser wipe a whole hard drive? Maybe it won't and I need to stop trying.
You might suggest dban but I have also tried that and it doesn't load. I don't see any executable files on the CD after I burn the .ISO file. I am on their forum trying to find an answer.
All I want to do is wipe the HDD and reinstall a clean Windows Xp so I can get rid of the laptop. Thanks
