I am using an HP/Compaq nx9010 with 40 GB HDD (NTFS), running Windows XP Professional. Used Eraser successfully & very pleased with the result but other users should be aware that Eraser wipes all the "restore" points from the HDD.
After Wiping the HDD you should IMMEDIATELY create a new "restore" point (START - Help & Support - System Restore - Create a restore point) in case you get a problem later & then find that you cannot restore to a previous condition of the Operating System. I did not notice this warning on the Website.
