Erasing CD-RW and DVD-RW?

can Eraser overwrite CD-RW and DVD-RW? if not, do you know of a program that can? i know most burning software offers quick erase and full erase. quick erase just isn't enough. i would use full erase if i knew how well it actually worked. if any of you guys know how well it works, let me know and i might use it.

preferably, i would like to use Eraser or a program like Eraser, so i can be more confident in it's actual abilities.
 
Using the full erase with your CD-RW software should be fine, optical media doesn't leave magnetic remnants for obvious reasons.
