I don't know if this has been suggested in the past but I think it would greatly improve Eraser's capabilities if it provided an option to dismount a drive partition prior to free space wiping. This would allow for much more thorough wiping of NTFS partitions as space reserved for the disk cache would be offline. In the event that a partition cannot be dismounted you could provide options to forcably dismount or to wipe the disk at the next boot. This would also be great for locked files. Instead of just failing, provide an option to erase the file at the next boot up.
