I was just using Ontrack Easy Recovery running the RawRecovery tool, that is:
And, to my suprise, tons of files that were on my PC before I reinstalled Windows after a crash some years ago are still there, easily recovered, despite the fact that I've run Eraser several times since then. Why doesn't Eraser take care of these files? How can I clean them out?
"The RawRecovery tool allows you to scan severely corrupted partitions for files using a file signature search algorithm. This tool will help you recover files from a partition with damaged directory structures. Over 225 popular file signatures are available for scanning for your file data in this tool.
