HELP! It didn't secure empty data!

Last night was the first night I started using Eraser. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit. Since the process is rather slow to clean 300Gb hard drive, I let it run over night. I had 300Gb free space out of 450Gb partition. Well today, I find that I only have 12Gb free. It seems like Eraser populated the memory rather than just scrubbing it. How do I fix this? What happened?
 
Please read the FAQ, in particular the 'sticky' topic entitled 'Common Eraser Problems'. You'll find the fix for this problem there.

Incidentally, your free space has been largely if not completely erased; you can run a file recovery program on the drive to check what remains.
