Converting OST files to PST files can be done using different methods. Here’s a general guide on how to convert OST to PST:

Using Outlook Import/Export Feature:

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Navigate to "File" > "Open & Export" > "Import/Export."
  3. Select "Export to a file" and click "Next."
  4. Choose "Outlook Data File (.pst)" and click "Next."
  5. Select the folders you wish to export, including any subfolders if desired.
  6. Specify where you want to save the PST file.
  7. Click "Finish" to begin the export process.
Using a Third-Party OST to PST Converter:

  1. There are several third-party tools available, such as Kernel for OST to PST Converter.
  2. Download and install your chosen software on your computer.
  3. Launch the software and follow the on-screen instructions to select the OST file for conversion.
  4. Choose the destination for saving the converted PST file.
  5. Start the conversion process and wait for it to complete.
  6. Once finished, you’ll have a PST file containing the data from the original OST file.
Manual Method (Not Recommended):This involves creating a new PST file in Outlook and manually copying contents from the OST file:

  1. Open Outlook and create a new PST file.
  2. Drag and drop items (emails, contacts, calendars, etc.) from the OST file folders to the new PST file folders.
  3. This method is not recommended as it can be time-consuming and may not accurately preserve all data elements.
