The “Entry Not Found in Index” error is one of those cryptic messages that usually shows up when you're trying to search or open an item within Lotus Notes. This issue generally indicates that the database index is either missing or corrupted. This can happen if Lotus Notes crashes unexpectedly or if the system shuts down improperly.

A quick fix is to press Shift + F9, which forces Notes to rebuild the database index. You can also use internal utilities like Fixup and Compact. If the problem still isn’t resolved, chances are the database is deeply damaged. In that case, try using eSoftTools NSF to PST Converter. This tool is built to recover data from even the most corrupted NSF files. It can extract emails, attachments, contacts, and more, and convert everything to PST or other formats like EML or MBOX for easy access in Outlook or another email client.
